NEW DESIGN! The Short Range Rifle target has been completely redesigned. It now features an AR550 target and a new swinging hanger to make calling hits easier. Parts are not interchangeable between the new style and old style short range rifle targets. Brackets are not interchangeable between the 12″x20 and the 12″x25″ design. Package Contains Everything you need for one target. Just buy a 2×4 at the lumber store and you are set. Note: Drilling the 2×4 is required to mount the 2×4 plate. Our short range rifle targets were designed for law enforcement agencies, gun clubs and individuals looking to shoot centerfire rifles closer than 100 yards. Our design uses an AR550 target, an angled mounting bracket and an extra large base for stability. The angle helps prevent much of the pitting common with shooting rifles closer than 100 yards. This pitting can become dangerous as it may send fragments back at the shooter. This allows the target to be used up close and at longer ranges. The bracket is fully hidden behind the target protecting it from impacts. The bolts are rugged Grade 8, 1/2” carriage bolts. Even though they are Grade 8 they will need to be replaced periodically due to bullet impacts.
